Anna Babych, Attorney with Vasil Kisil & Partners, Becomes a Member of the Expert and Appeal Council of the State Committee for Regulatory Policy and Private Enterprise
On June 30, 2010, Anna Babych, Counsellor with Vasil Kisil & Partners Law Firm, was admitted to the Expert and Appeal Council by Decision No. 1315-р of the State Committee for Regulatory Policy and Private Enterprise.
The Expert and Appeal Council (hereinafter – “the Council”) is a continuing collegial consulting and advisory body dealing with licensing issues under the State Committee for Regulatory Policy and Private Enterprise.
The Council is composed of public officers, scientists, as well as other experts and representatives of non-governmental organizations.
The Council is in charge of the following:
- Issuing expert pinion on draft regulatory legal acts of executive authorities regarding licensing;
- Drafting recommendations related to urgent issues of public policy in licensing;
- Delivering preliminary conclusions regarding proposals from executive and local self-government authorities, agencies and institutions concerning the expediency of introducing or cancelling the licensing of particular operations; Considering applications, claims and appeals from economic agents against decisions rendered by licensing authorities regarding their violation of licensing laws;
- Analyzing the status of licensing and elaborating recommendations regarding its improvement.
Over the years, Anna Babych has been actively participating in drafting and improving laws under cooperation with non-governmental and professional organizations and public authorities, including as follows:
- Participating in operations of the SSMSC’s Expert Advisory Board,
- Participating in working groups (subgroups) under the State Agency of Ukraine for Investments and Innovations in terms of improving investment laws and laws regulating LLCs’ operations,
- Participating in the Working Group of the Investors Council for Corporate Governance under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (CMU).
Furthermore, Ms. Babych chairs the Corporate Governance Working Group of the European Business Association and is a Deputy Chairman of the Stock Market Committee of the Ukrainian Bar Association. Anna’s new assignment reflects Vasil Kisil & Partners’ general dedication to law making endeavors and to pioneering the serial changes in national legal field.
