VKP Advised Sony Corporation on Ukrainian Competition Issues
VKP advised Sony Corporation in connection with a €1.05 billion acquisition of Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson’s 50% stake in Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications AB. As a result of the transaction Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications AB become a wholly owned subsidiary of Sony Corporation.
VKP team acted for the client before the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, obtaining a permit for the economic concentration as related to the acquisition of the stake in Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications AB, as well as a permit for concerted actions in the form of non-compete covenants of Sony Corporation and Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson.
