Vasil Kisil & Partners represented world #1 video-sharing provider YouTube LLC in legal proceedings to prove that the YOUTUBE trade mark is well known in Ukraine, as well as to invalidate the certificate of “YOU TUBE” trademark wrongfully registered in Ukraine.

In addition to representing the client in related litigation, this project also included a comprehensive range of measures to ensure legal support in the process of re-delegating the youtube.ua domain, which had previously been delegated to an individual on the basis of an improperly registered trademark “YOU TUBE”.

As a result of VKP’s lawyers legal action the youtube.ua domain was removed from under the control of persons who illegally seized this domain name, and has been delegated to its rightful owner.
