Olena Perepelynska, Senior Associate of Vasil Kisil &Partners, the Only Representative of Eastern Europe at the 5th International Congress of Club Español del Arbitraje (CEA)
On June 20-22, 2010, Olena Perepelynska, Senior Associate of the International Arbitration Practice Group at Vasil Kisil & Partners, participated in the 5th International Congress of Club Español del Arbitraje (CEA) in Madrid, Spain.
The theme of the two-day congress was “Arbitrators. Global Vision” (“Los Árbitros. Una Visión Global”). The event was attended by more than 150 Spanish-speaking experts on investment and commercial arbitration from all over the world. Chairmen and secretaries-general from leading arbitration institutes of Spain and Latin America, Secretary-General of the ICC Court of International Arbitration, prominent international arbitrators, as well as outstanding legal practitioners in international arbitration delivered their reports at the conference.
It is well known that “arbitration quality depends on arbitrators’ qualification”. That is why the arbitration community seeks with particular insistence to develop arbitrators’ proficiency to the fullest extent possible. Information on arbitration development and related problems in Ukraine provoked considerable interest and a lot of questions from Congress participants.
