Oleksandr Mamunya Represented Vasil Kisil & Partners at the Annual Meeting of the International Trademark Association

On May 22 to 26, 2010, the 132nd Annual Meeting of the International Trademark Association (INTA) was held in Boston (the USA), which again proved to be the premier event for intellectual property professionals from around the world. The Meeting was attended by Oleksandr Mamunya, Senior Associate and Representative of Vasil Kisil & Partners at INTA.

For several consecutive years, the participation in the INTA’s Annual Meeting is a must for the development of the Intellectual Property Practice Group at the firm.

This event brings together both independent practitioners and in-house counsels of major companies to share their knowledge and experience on a wide range of issues, such as trademark protection, protection of intellectual property rights across geographic regions and industries.

This year’s most widely discussed topics include the observance of intellectual property rights in marketing and advertising, European system of intellectual property rights protection, judicial practice and mediation. Internet-related problems were the focus of the committee sessions, while industry-specific sessions covered relevant IP aspects of various industries such as fashion, perfume industry, pharmaceutical industry, tourism, games, and entertainment.
