Kyiv Hosts the Second All-Ukrainian School on Intellectual Property Law

February 3-4, 2012 Kyiv's branch of the Ukrainian Bar Association Students League supported by Vasil Kisil & Partners held an All-Ukrainian School on Intellectual Property Law for the second time.

More than 40 students representing major educational institutions of Ukraine took part in a two-day school session, during which the leading lawyers in the field of intellectual property discussed basic problems of legislative regulation and conducted a series of thematic workshops.

VKP's leading lawyer Tetyana Kudrytska yet again offered her expertise to school attendees and reviewed with students some aspects of intellectual property rights protection on the Internet in the context of domain disputes. In her report Tetyana shared with the participants of the school's her own observations based on the existing practice regarding the most commonly used intellectual property rights protection mechanisms of IP objects used in domain names and touched upon the key issues that define today the risks faced by market participants in connection with circulation of intellectual property on the web.

During the two-day program, students had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge, debate with the experts and get answers to their questions. The topic of trends and mechanisms of protection of intellectual property rights on the Internet was identified by participants as one of the most interesting ones this year.
